Ally Lawhon is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern University. She completed her graduate internship at Our Lady of the Lake Tau Center for Mental and Behavioral Health. Ally’s previous experiences including working with CASA, Behavioral Science Consulting in Memphis, TN, and Our Lady of the Lake Tau Center on inpatient psychiatric units. Ally is a member of the Louisiana Counseling Association. In her clinical work, she uses a combination of theoretical approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, humanistic approaches and mindfulness based treatment. Ally is passionate about working with adolescents and adults and aims to tailor treatment to the unique needs of each individual.
