Katie is a licensed counselor who currently owns a private practice in Baton Rouge. After receiving her Master’s Degree in Psychology from McNeese State University in 2013, Katie has worked in both non-profit and private practice settings. Katie headed two separate counseling programs designed for clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, level I in Lake Charles, LA before moving to Baton Rouge in 2016. She is a member of the government relationship committee for the Louisiana Counseling Association and acts as a mentor for LCA’s Leadership Development and Mentoring Institute.
Katie practices a humanistic, client-centered approach to therapy, utilizing techniques and therapeutic outlooks for cognitive behavior therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. Her goal as a counselor is to help clients find their truest selves and values and learn to honor those in a way that the client sees fit.
