Kayla LeBeau, Clinical Coordination Manager

Kayla LeBeau is currently a clinical therapist at Jefferson Oaks Behavioral Health. Kayla is originally from Kenner, LA and moved to Baton Rouge, LA in 2012 in order for her husband to attend law school at LSU. Kayla received her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS in 2011 and her M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA in 2015. Kayla started her journey in mental health as an intern at Jefferson Oaks in June of 2015 and completed her internship in December of 2015. Kayla continued at JOBH as a clinical assistant, facilitating groups and helping prepare for upcoming accreditation. In July of 2016, she obtained a full-time therapist position at JOBH. Kayla is currently a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) and is in the process of being approved to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

Kayla enjoys working in the PHP/IOP clinical setting because of the exposure to people of all ages and backgrounds. She has particular interest in working with young adults as they move towards independence and a stronger sense of self.  Kayla utilizes multiple modalities including, but not limited to, DBT, ACT, and CBT. Kayla believes that each person has the ability to guide themselves through their healing process with supportive therapeutic intervention.  Kayla utilizes a strength based approach and assists her clients in identifying and focusing on the strengths that will increase self-reliance, self-confidence, and hopefulness.
